My name is Jimmy and I am the owner of Custom Ammunition, LLC.  I am a passionate conservationist and shooting enthusiast with a lifetime of wilderness adventure experiences, as well as five decades of shotgun and center-fire firearms experience.  

 

I specialize in exotic, rare and obsolete custom handloaded ammunition. My mission is to deliver precision handloaded ammunition with consistent performance, careful craftsmanship, and personalized customer service. I have the experience to load calibers that are not commercially available. I've been licensed to load ammunition for almost 20 years, with a lifetime of experience researching and loading calibers that most shooters have not heard of.   I've load ammunition from the diminutive  17 Remington up to the 700 Nitro express. I specialize in custom ammunition for hunting, target shooting, and competition, using premium components, and meticulous attention to accuracy and consistency.

With an emphasis on meticulous case preparation, precision powder weighing, and careful bullet seating to improve consistency and accuracy.

Current Market Conditions

 The only issue I currently face is components market  prices, which has been rising expediently, with there is no end in sight. Powder, in many cases prices have just about quadrupled what they were a few years ago. While primers are still triple what they were just a few years back, they are starting to come down in price, but I fear it will take a while to get back a reasonable level.   

 

I am taking orders at present, but please understand, depending on what you are looking for, prices for some ammo maybe more and double what it was just a year ago. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do about the price increases.

Some states  require their residents to present a copy of a firearms/ammunition owner’s identification card when purchasing ammunition, and  others have different requirements.  Below is a list of some of the states with special requirements for the interstate - internet purchase of ammunition.

Instructions for California Ammunition Sales:

 

No sales of ammunition can delivered in the State of California directly to the consumer.  All Internet - interstate sales of ammunition to California must be sent to a registered and licensed ammunition dealer.  Therefore I am not shipping any ammunition to California.

Instructions for Connecticut Ammunition Sales:

 

  • Connecticut Firearms/Ammunition Identification Card must accompany ammunition orders for first time. 

  • The identification must be current, valid, & completely legible.

  • Orders will not be processed  until the documents are submitted.

  • Ammo can only be shipped to the address on the document.

Instructions for Illinois Ammunition Sales:

​

  • FOID cards AND state photo ID submitted. 

  • These MUST be current, valid, & completely legible.

  • Orders will not be processed until the  documents are submitted.

  • Ammo can only be shipped to an address on one of those two documents.

 

Instructions for Maryland Ammunition Sales:

​

In Maryland, it is legal to ship ammo, except to Annapolis. Therefore I can not ship any ammunition to a resident of the city of  Annapolis.

 

Instructions for Massachusetts Ammunition Sales:

​

I cannot ship ammunition to MA residents directly. Orders made must be shipped to a FFL dealer or to a valid Licensee to Sell Ammunition Permit holder. A copy of the Massachusetts FFL MUST be provided to me before any ammunition can be shipped. Therefore I am not shipping any ammunition to Massachusetts at this time.

  • New Jersey Firearms/Ammunition Identification Card must accompany ammunition orders for first time. 

  • It must be current, valid, & completely legible.

  • Orders will not be processed until the documents are submitted.

  • Ammo can only be shipped to the address on the document.

 Federal Requirements

 

The 1968 Gun Control Act prohibits handgun ammo sales to anyone under 21 and long gun ammo to anyone under 18. Although some states may allow ammunition possession for those younger than 21 or 18, respectively, federal law prohibits the sale of ammo to minors. If I suspect someone is under aged, I will require proof of age before a sale can be made.
